About Jay

Though Jay Dudding currently lives in North Carolina, in 2022, Jay moved to Ireland to attend the Irish World Academy of Music and Dance and completed and MA in Composition and Creative Music Practice. In this program they studied under Dr. Eoin Callery and Dr. Oscar Mascareñas. Their BM was completed at East Carolina University under Dr. Mark Taggart, Dr. Travis Alford, and Dr. Ed Jacobs.

They particularly interested in the process of creating and what collaboration brings to that situation. They also like to explore what might impede the process of creativity, focusing especially on mental health. Jay is also fascinated with the world surrounding them. They express this as both interest in scientific phenomena and environmentalism.

When not composing, Jay likes blacksmithing, making digital art, and watching far too much Star Trek.
